Linking

Link freelancers in minutes

Send an invite link to any self-employed professional. Once they accept, they appear on your booking page under their own name, with their own services, hours and prices.

  • Free for you and free for the freelancer
  • Customers see live availability across your whole team
  • Grow your menu without hiring
Easy to change

Nothing is locked in

People's arrangements change. Either side can unlink at any time, and changes to an agreement are proposed to the other side, who can accept or decline. Accepted changes take effect on the date you set.

  • Add or remove a freelancer without touching your diary
  • Propose new rent or days and set the date it starts
  • Agree the notice each side must give
Contracts

A chair rental agreement for every freelancer

Set out the terms once and keep them with the freelancer's record. The freelancer reads and accepts the agreement themselves, and Glas records who accepted it and when.

  • Fee, payment frequency, due day and deposit
  • Minimum and maximum days per week
  • Notice periods, termination triggers and a missed payment policy
Rent billing

Rent worked out and collected for you

Each billing period, Glas works out what is owed and queues it for you to review. You confirm, and it is charged to the card the freelancer saved with Stripe. Nothing is taken without your say-so.

  • A fixed fee, a percentage of their takings, or a mix of both
  • Weekly or monthly, on the day you choose
  • Missed payments flagged against your policy
Invoicing

Invoices for rent, products and adjustments

Raise a numbered invoice for a freelancer or a customer, add VAT, email it and mark it paid when the money arrives. Freelancer invoices are visible to owners only.

  • Numbered invoices with VAT and due dates
  • Sent by email, with overdue invoices flagged
  • Mark paid by cash, card or bank transfer
Keeping track

See the money, and the dates that matter

Rent you collect, staff payouts and your Glas subscription sit in one ledger. Glas also emails you ahead of rent reviews and lease dates, so nothing slips.

  • Rent in and payouts out, in one view
  • Reminders for rent reviews and lease dates
  • Reports on takings across your team
Insurance

Keep freelancer insurance in check

If your agreement needs a freelancer to hold insurance, Glas notices when the certificate is missing or about to expire, and lets both of you know.

  • You are emailed when a freelancer's insurance has lapsed
  • The freelancer is reminded before their certificate expires
  • Each reminder is sent once, so your inbox stays clear
Fewer no-shows

Reminders and deposits for the whole team

Confirmations, reminders and review requests go out in your own wording, and you can ask for a deposit at booking so a no-show doesn't cost you the slot.

  • Confirmations and reminders by email and text
  • Deposits through Stripe, Square or SumUp
  • Review requests after each visit
Their clients

Freelancers stay independent

Each freelancer runs their own diary and keeps their own clients, which is what makes the arrangement a genuine one. You see what they agree to share, and nothing more.

  • Their client list leaves when they do
  • They choose which days they work for you
  • Staff and freelancers side by side on one booking page

How hosting works

  1. Invite

Share an invite link with any self-employed professional. Linking costs nothing.

  2. Agree terms

Set the rent, days and notice. The freelancer reads and accepts the agreement.

  3. Get paid

Rent is worked out each period for you to confirm, and invoices go out by email.

Glas gives you the structure for an agreement and keeps the record. It is not legal advice, so have the wording checked by your own adviser.

Questions businesses ask

Is Glas salon chair rental software?

Yes, among other things. Salons, studios and any other service business that hosts self-employed professionals can use Glas, whether you rent out chairs, rooms or treatment spaces. You can link freelancers to your business, agree chair or room rental terms, collect rent and send invoices, alongside the bookings, payments and reminders you already use it for.

Does it cost anything to invite freelancers?

No. Businesses can invite freelancers to link up for free, and the freelancer stays on their own Freelancer plan with no upgrade. The Business plan has its own monthly price, and the pricing page sets it out.

How do I charge freelancers rent for a chair or room?

Create a chair rental agreement for the freelancer. Choose a fixed fee, a percentage of their takings or a mix, then pick weekly or monthly billing and a due day. Glas works out what is owed each period and you confirm it before it is charged.

How is the rent collected?

Rent is collected through your own Stripe account, so your business needs Stripe connected. The freelancer saves a card with Stripe. Each period Glas queues the amount for you to review, and once you confirm, it is charged to that card.

Can I change the terms later?

Yes. You propose a change, such as a new fee, and the freelancer accepts or declines it. Accepted changes take effect from the date you set, and the agreement records the notice each side has to give.

Can I send invoices as well?

Yes. You can raise numbered invoices with VAT for freelancers, for things like rent or product charges, and for customers. Invoices go out by email, and you mark them paid by cash, card or bank transfer.

Who owns the freelancer's clients?

The freelancer does. They keep their own diary and client list, and their clients leave with them if they unlink. You see only what they agree to share.

Is the agreement legally binding?

Glas records the agreed terms and that the freelancer accepted them, with their typed name and the date. It is not legal advice, so have your wording checked by your own adviser.

What if a freelancer misses a payment?

You choose a missed payment policy when you set up the agreement. Glas flags the freelancer once their missed payments reach that policy, so you can follow it up.
