Terms of Service
Last updated July 19, 2026
These Terms of Service ('Terms') govern access to and use of the Glasapp business dashboard, booking platform, and related tools (the 'Services') by businesses, freelancers, and other beauty and wellness businesses ('you', 'your Business') that register for a Glasapp account. By creating a Business account, subscribing to a plan, or using the Services, you agree to these Terms on behalf of your Business.
If you're a customer booking an appointment through the Glasapp app, your use of the platform is instead governed by our Terms of Use, not these Terms.

1. What Glasapp Provides
In short:
Glasapp is a software platform for managing bookings, staff, payments, and clients — we are not party to the services your Business provides to its customers.
The Services let your Business list its services and staff, accept online bookings, take deposits and payments, manage clients, and run reports. Your Business remains solely responsible for the treatments and services it delivers, for its own pricing and policies, and for complying with any licensing, insurance, health and safety, and consumer protection laws that apply to your trade.
2. Eligibility and Your Account
In short:
You must be a genuine business or professional, and keep your account details accurate.
•
You must be at least 18 years old and authorised to bind your Business to these Terms.
•
Account information (business name, contact details, staff, services, and pricing) must be accurate and kept up to date.
•
You're responsible for all activity under your account, including actions taken by staff you invite.
•
You're responsible for setting appropriate access permissions for staff and freelancers you add to your account.
3. Subscription Plans and Billing
In short:
Subscriptions are billed monthly in advance via Stripe. New accounts get a 7-day free trial.
Glasapp is offered on paid monthly subscription plans (priced per business or per freelancer, with an additional per-seat fee for each staff member added to a business account). Some features, such as SMS reminders, include a free monthly allowance with additional usage billed per message. Current pricing is shown at glasapp.co.uk/pricing and may be updated from time to time — we'll give you reasonable notice before a price change takes effect on your account.
New Business accounts receive a 7-day free trial; no payment card is required to start a trial. Once you add billing details and your trial ends (or you subscribe directly), subscription fees are billed in advance on a recurring monthly basis via Stripe and, unless you cancel beforehand, renew automatically each billing period.
Cancelling your subscription
You can cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings. Cancellation stops future billing but doesn't refund fees already charged for the current billing period — your Business retains access until the end of the period you've paid for.
Non-payment and suspension
If a subscription payment fails or lapses (status 'past due') or is cancelled, access to the dashboard and booking management tools is automatically suspended until the balance is settled or a new plan is chosen. We'll notify you when this happens. Suspension doesn't cancel appointments your customers have already booked, but you may be unable to manage them through the dashboard until access is restored.
4. Payments From Your Customers
In short:
Your Business is the merchant of record for payments from your customers. Glasapp uses Stripe Connect to route those payments directly to your own connected Stripe account.
To accept online deposits and payments, you connect your own Stripe account to Glasapp. When a customer pays for a booking, Glasapp facilitates the transaction through Stripe Connect, but the contract for that payment is between you and your customer — your Business, not Glasapp, is the merchant of record. You're responsible for honouring the deposit, cancellation, and refund policies you configure and show to customers at checkout, for responding to chargebacks and payment disputes, and for your own compliance with Stripe's terms of service and any tax or reporting obligations on the payments you receive.
Glasapp's subscription fees (Section 3) are separate from, and not a percentage of, payments your customers make to you.
5. Freelancers and Linked Accounts
In short:
A freelancer can be linked to multiple businesses; each business only sees what the freelancer chooses to share with it.
Glasapp supports independent freelancers operating across multiple businesses. A linked freelancer's services, pricing, and portfolio are managed from their own primary account and shared with a business only through an active link; a business cannot edit a linked freelancer's services directly. Either party can end a link at any time from their account settings, which removes the freelancer's future availability from that business's booking pages.
6. Your Customers' Data
In short:
Your Business is the data controller for the customer data you collect; Glasapp processes it on your behalf as described in our Privacy Policy.
When you use the Services to collect and store client details, booking history, notes, or payment status for your customers, your Business acts as the data controller for that information under UK GDPR, and Glasapp acts as your data processor — we process it only to provide the Services and in line with your instructions and our Privacy Policy. You're responsible for having a lawful basis to collect and use your customers' data (for example, through your own booking confirmation flow) and for responding to your customers' data rights requests relating to information you control.
7. Acceptable Use
In short:
Use the Services honestly and don't try to break or abuse them.
•
Don't list services you're not licensed, qualified, or insured to provide.
•
Don't use the Services to send unsolicited marketing that breaches applicable law (e.g. PECR/UK GDPR marketing rules).
•
Don't attempt to circumvent subscription billing, seat limits, or access controls.
•
Don't scrape, reverse-engineer, or resell the Services or their underlying data to a third party.
•
Don't use the Services to store or process data you don't have the right to hold.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach this section, at our reasonable discretion and, where practical, with notice.
8. Intellectual Property
In short:
Glasapp owns the platform; you own your own business content.
The Glasapp name, logo, and the software, design, and code underlying the Services are owned by Glasapp or our licensors. You retain ownership of the content you upload (service descriptions, photos, portfolio images, client data). You grant Glasapp a limited licence to host, display, and process that content solely to provide the Services to you and your customers.
9. Disclaimers and Liability
In short:
The Services are provided 'as is.' We're liable for our role as the software platform, not for the services your Business provides to its customers.
We aim for the Services to be reliable and secure but don't guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Glasapp is not liable for losses arising from your Business's own acts or omissions, pricing, policies, or the treatments you provide, nor for third-party services we integrate with (including Stripe, SMS, and email providers) that are outside our direct control.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Glasapp's total liability for any claim arising from these Terms is limited to the subscription fees your Business paid to Glasapp in the 12 months before the claim arose. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud.
10. Term and Termination
In short:
These Terms apply for as long as you have an active account.
These Terms remain in effect while your Business has a Glasapp account. Either party may terminate: you by cancelling your subscription and closing your account, and Glasapp by giving reasonable notice, or immediately if you materially breach these Terms (including non-payment or unlawful use). On termination, your access to the dashboard ends, though we'll retain your data for the period described in our Privacy Policy and provide a reasonable opportunity to export your client and booking records beforehand where practical.
11. Changes to These Terms
In short:
We may update these Terms from time to time.
We may update these Terms to reflect changes to the Services, our pricing, or legal and regulatory requirements. We'll give you reasonable notice of material changes by email or a notice in the dashboard. Continuing to use the Services after a change takes effect means you accept the updated Terms.
12. Governing Law
In short:
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
These Terms, and any dispute arising from them or your use of the Services, are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
