Terms of Use
Last updated July 19, 2026
These Terms of Use ('Terms') govern your access to and use of the Glas customer app and glasapp.co.uk (the 'Services') as a customer booking appointments with businesses, freelancers, and other beauty and wellness professionals ('Businesses') listed on the platform. By creating an account, browsing a Business's page, or making a booking, you agree to these Terms.
If you are a business or freelancer offering your services through Glas, your use of the platform is instead governed by our Terms of Service, not these Terms.

1. What Glas Is
In short:
Glas is a booking platform that connects you with independent Businesses. We are not the Business providing your treatment.
Glas provides the technology that lets you find Businesses, view their services and availability, book appointments, and pay online. Each Business is an independent operator — not an employee, agent, or franchisee of Glas. Glas is not a party to the contract for services formed between you and a Business when you book an appointment, and we do not supervise, control, or guarantee the quality of any treatment.
2. Your Account
In short:
You're responsible for your account and for keeping your details accurate.
You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. If you are under 18, you represent that you have your parent or guardian’s permission to use the Services and make bookings. Certain Businesses or specific treatments (such as cosmetic procedures) may be legally restricted to individuals aged 18 or over. You agree to comply with all age-verification requests made by the Business at the time of your appointment.
3. Bookings, Prices, and Availability
In short:
Booking details, prices, and policies are set by each Business, not by Glas.
Service descriptions, durations, prices, and staff availability shown in the app are set and maintained by each Business. Glas does not verify or guarantee their accuracy, and prices or availability may change between when you view a listing and when you book. Your booking is confirmed once you receive a confirmation through the app — a Business may still decline or adjust a booking (for example, if a staff member becomes unavailable), in which case we'll let you know and, where you've paid in advance, arrange a refund of any amount charged for the cancelled appointment.
4. Deposits, Cancellations, and No-Shows
In short:
Cancellation windows, deposit amounts, and no-show charges are set individually by each Business and shown to you before you confirm a booking.
Some Businesses require a deposit or full pre-payment to confirm a booking, and may charge a cancellation or no-show fee if you cancel late or don't attend. These amounts and time windows are configured by the Business and displayed at checkout — review them before you confirm. By completing a booking that requires a deposit or pre-payment, you authorise Glas's payment processor to charge the card on file according to the policy shown to you at that time.
If you have a dispute about a specific charge, cancellation, or no-show fee, contact the Business directly in the first instance, since they set and control that policy. If you can't resolve it with the Business, contact support@glasapp.co.uk and we'll help facilitate a resolution, though the underlying contract for the fee is between you and the Business.
5. Payments
In short:
Payments are processed securely by Stripe. Glas does not store your card details.
All online payments, deposits, and stored payment methods are handled by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number. By saving a card or completing a payment, you also agree to Stripe's terms of service. Refunds for cancelled or adjusted bookings are issued back to your original payment method and may take several business days to appear, depending on your bank. Glas does not charge customers a platform or booking fee for using the Services; all payments made through the app go directly to the Business providing your treatment (minus payment processing fees absorbed by the Business).
6. Memberships and Loyalty Programmes
In short:
Memberships, packages, and loyalty points are offered by individual Businesses on their own terms.
Where a Business offers a recurring membership, prepaid package, or loyalty points programme, the specific terms (price, billing frequency, cancellation notice, and what the points or package can be redeemed against) are set by that Business and shown to you before you sign up. These are agreements between you and the Business; Glas provides the platform that processes the recurring billing on the Business's behalf.
7. Reviews and Conduct
In short:
Be honest and respectful. We can remove content or restrict accounts that abuse the platform.
If you leave a review or message a Business through the app, it must reflect your genuine experience and must not be defamatory, harassing, or contain content unrelated to the appointment. You agree not to:
•
Use the Services for any unlawful purpose or to harass, threaten, or abuse a Business or its staff.
•
Make fraudulent bookings, chargebacks, or repeatedly book and no-show without cancelling.
•
Attempt to circumvent, disable, or interfere with the security or proper functioning of the Services.
•
Scrape, copy, or reuse Business listings or content for a competing service.
We may remove content, suspend, or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, at our reasonable discretion and, where practical, with notice.
8. Intellectual Property
In short:
The app, our branding, and our software belong to Glas; Businesses own their own content.
The Glas name, logo, and the app's design and code are owned by Glas or our licensors. Businesses retain ownership of the content they upload (photos, descriptions, portfolio images). You're granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the Services for your own personal booking purposes.
9. Disclaimers and Liability
In short:
Glas provides the booking platform 'as is.' We're not liable for the treatment or service a Business provides, only for our own role as the platform.
Because each Business is independent, Glas is not responsible for the quality, safety, legality, or outcome of any treatment or service you receive, for a Business's compliance with licensing or health and safety requirements, or for any loss arising from a Business's acts or omissions. Your recourse for a dissatisfactory treatment is with the Business.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Glas’s total liability for any claim arising from your use of the booking platform (as distinct from a claim against a Business) is limited to £50. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud.
10. Changes to the Services or These Terms
In short:
We may update these Terms or the Services from time to time.
We may update these Terms to reflect changes to the Services or for legal or regulatory reasons. If we make material changes, we'll post a notice in the app or contact you. Continued use of the Services after a change takes effect means you accept the updated Terms.
11. Ending Your Use of the Services
In short:
You can stop using the Services or delete your account at any time.
You may stop using the Services at any time and request deletion of your account by contacting support@glasapp.co.uk. We may suspend or close your account if you seriously or repeatedly breach these Terms. Bookings and payment obligations you've already made with a Business survive account closure until settled.
12. Governing Law
In short:
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. If you're a consumer, this doesn't take away any protections you have under the mandatory laws of the country you live in. Any dispute will be subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales, though as a UK consumer you may also be able to bring a claim in the courts of the part of the UK you live in.
